The Shooting Star from Switzerland Thomas Litscher transfers next season to FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC World Cup Team. The team director Jörg Scheiderbauer announced yesterday. “We already had great interest in him last year, however his commitments with MIG Team continue until the end of 2010 season” said Scheiderbauer. Scheiderbauer sees great potential in the young Swiss rider who has celebrated great sporting achievements in his young career. It was only last week that the 21yearold returned from the mountain bike World Championships in Canada. An extremely successful weekend for Litscher, for he was not only runner up in the U23 men-s category, but also world champion in the team relay.
Even now, shoulder to shoulder with world leaders
Thomas Litscher belongs with his just 21 years to the most promising mountain bikers in the world. The ambitious model athlete already won in 2007 the Junior World and European title – an outstanding achievement. Litscher has proved that he belongs to the stars of the scene, with his 15th Place at this year-s UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Champery (SUI) and ranked 20th in the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Offenburg (GER). His U23 World Champion runnerup title and the World Champion title with his Swiss team confirmed these results.
With a new team for the world title in 2011
The goal is clear: with Litscher the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Worldcup team 2011 wants to drive at the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Champery (SUI), at the U23 World Champion title. “The team material and the support are perfect for me,” said Litscher. “Considering my past achievements along with hard work, together we can achieve a lot.”
