SEATTLE, WA — (Marketwire) — 07/19/11 — The Russell MENA (Middle East North Africa) Index reflected a loss of 7.5% year-to-date, underperforming the Russell Global Index which gained 3.8% through July 15, 2011. While both indexes have posted negative returns month-to-date, the Russell MENA Index (-0.2%) performed slightly better than the Russell Global Index (-1.1%) through July 15, 2011.
For the second quarter of 2011, the Russell MENA Index and the Russell Global Index have posted relatively flat returns of -0.2% and 0.3% respectively.
