Introduced to the market just one year ago, five hundred of the 54 EL roller laminators have now been sold by SEAL. The unit, positioned in the entry-level class, impresses with the usual SEAL brand quality. The finishing and laminating specialist produces the unit at their own factory in the USA.
The SEAL 54 EL is equipped with all basic functions, enabling the professional application of high-quality finishing and protective films, as well as double-sided adhesive films. The machine delivers fully matured technology and the two silicone rollers provide a high level of uniform quality. This means the powerful model can reliably process pressure-activated materials up to a thickness of 25 millimetres. The maximum width is 1400 millimetres and the working speed can reach up to 4 metres per minute.
“Our roller laminator SEAL 54 EL has made a deep impact on the market, it is an ongoing success story”, said Frank Seemann, Marketing and Communications manager for the SEAL brand, with delight. “Since the official sale start at the Viscom 2010, the machine has been sold five hundred times. That is fantastic and, at the same time, clear evidence for the excellent quality and properties of our equipment.”
The general distributor Welte in Freiburg, which exclusively markets SEAL materials and machines in Germany, is presenting the unit at the Viscom (13 to 15 October in Düsseldorf, Hall 8a, Stand E30). Welte is also presenting other SEAL models and the matching laminating and adhesive films.
As was the case at the Fespa, there will also be the attractive Try and Buy action at the Viscom, enabling a cost- effective entry into the finishing and laminating business. Users will receive a “Test licence” at a preferential price: Welte then provides the SEAL 54 EL for three months; after this period they can either purchase the roller laminator or return it.
The same action will be running in parallel for the slightly wider roller laminator SEAL 62 Base. The Viscom offer also means that users will receive, in addition to the machine, two rolls of protective and laminating films of their choice, and a vat device for easier working with large format image processing templates.
“This gives print service providers the opportunity to test the business potential in the image finishing and laminating sector for their business without any financial risk”, said managing director Frank Welte, explaining the background behind the action. “We deliver the machine. The accompanying installation and application video is fully sufficient to commission the machine on site.”
SEAL has a comprehensive range of protective, finishing and mounting films in their product palette. Together with the right machine, the large selection of consumer materials always ensures perfect results for all mounting and laminating processes. Other professional models, in addition to the SEAL 54 EL, will be displayed at the Viscom.
