Quit Smoking and Save Pounds on Your Policies

MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM — (Marketwire) — 03/13/12 — As National No Smoking Day approaches, Swinton is urging homeowners to quit their smoking habit and save pounds on their policies.

Nearly a third of all house fires are caused by smoking and with more people entertaining at home, smokers are often deemed by insurers as higher risk resulting in higher . Many insurers will request smoking information during the quote process.

It is estimated by Swinton that non-smokers could save up to 10% on their home insurance policy compared to their smoking counterparts.
