Swinton Commercial Reveals the Nation-s Most Memorable Vans

MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM — (Marketwire) — 11/13/11 — A recent survey has revealed the nations top 5 favourite famous vans of all time. The survey carried out by Swinton Commercial, the UK-s leading high street retailer of , has ranked the nation-s most memorable vans of all time based on results from 1,500 van drivers.

Results of the survey found that a staggering 74% of UK van drivers voted for the classic American 1983 GMC G series owned by The A Team. According to more than half of drivers surveyed, the bulky -macho- machine would make the ideal work van.

The poll found that there were only two British vans ranked in the top 5 including Postman Pat-s van and the Only Fools and Horses yellow Reliant Robin owned by Del Boy. More than half of drivers said they would never be seen driving Del Boy-s van as it-s -too embarrassing- and 5% surveyed admitted they would love to own Postman Pat-s van.

The survey saw Scooby Doo-s Mystery Machine take third place while Dumb and Dumber-s -shaggin wagon- came in at fifth place.
